Commonly Asked Questions |
|
|
Will my root dry out if sent by priority U.S. Mail? Not under normal circumstances. The average time to reach a customer in the U.S. is three days. Do I have to plant the root right away? It is best to plant right away, but if you need to delay planting for any reason, these are the steps we recommend you follow: Upon receiving your package, open the plastic bag containing your root, check the packing material for dampness. If dry, add just enough water to moisten material without causing it to become soggy. Leave bag open with root inside, and store in a cool location not subject to freezing. We do not recommend storing in this manner for more than two weeks. Why are some of the roots larger than others? We ship three to five eyed standard divisions. The size may vary by variety, but each root has three to five eyes. Will my peony bloom the first spring? Your peony may or may not bloom the first spring. It should bloom by the second spring if planted correctly. Peonies are slow to establish, but will reward you for a lifetime. |
